Sleeping Bag Dance Party

Our lovely new friends, The Gilliams, invited us over Friday for dinner. We knew we were in for a treat being as Christopher is a chef. We were more than spoiled with a fantastic four course dinner (complete with a homemade palate cleanser consisting of lemons, extra virgin olive oil and poppy seeds). Delicious! The Corbets were also in attendance which made for an extra fun dance party in the basement.

The girls had a "sleeping bag" party with their new friends Aubrey and Owen. They were bummed when they realized we had to go home.

Good times were had by all!

Four

My youngest turned four this week (sigh). It seems like yesterday we were bringing our dark haired 6 pound baby home from the hospital. Her sister, 15 months old at the time, wasn't quite sure what to think of her. Now the two cry when they have to leave each others side. They are truly best friend!

Adrianna was such a peaceful and happy baby. She enjoyed sleeping, which was a lifesaver for us considering Ashlyn was still adjusting to a sleep schedule. Having babies so close in age proved to be difficult. However the benefits far out weighed the negative. I am blessed to be the mother of such unique little girls!

Top four reasons why I love my Nanna Bean:

1. She tells me on a daily basis that I am the prettiest mommy princess in the world!

2. She is the most sensitive little thing. When others are crying or wincing in pain she asks if they are alright and offers hugs.

3. Her laugh is contagious and often lifts me up when I am down.

New You 2010

I have this overwhelming desire to get out, to see the world... to experience new things. My goal this year is to do just that. I started 2010 with a little snowshoeing (something I've never done).

This is my friend Heather who radiates positivity and strength (mentally and physically). I appreciate her friendship and her wonderful little text messages!

I've been missing out, can you believe this is right here in my own backyard! Winter sports here I come!!!

Sweet 16

My sister in law, Laura, turned 16 last week. My how the time flies, she was barely 9 when John and I got married.

When Mike was in town he hid a box in Laura's closet. A week later, and with a little nudging from John, Laura found her birthday gift. A week in NYC! Her reaction was priceless, What a perfect gift!

Happy Birthday Laura, now all you have to do is make time for all those suitors knocking at your door!

Pierce Christmas

It has been a longstanding tradition in my family that we spend Christmas Eve together. We eat, play and open presents. This year our new favorite game was DJ hero, which the fellas immediately took to. A few highlights.......

Poppa spent a good few hours putting together fun toys for the kids, which they absolutely loved!

Mom (abuela) gave us our tamales, something we look forward to every year!

I got a nice warm coat so I won't freeze my nalgas off any longer!
