So we decided it was about time to start potty training. We found out about the 3 day potty training method and decided to give it a try. Basically it tells you to put your child in underpants and have a ceremonial throwing away of the diapers ( diapers and pull ups are crutches for parents and children) . For the past three days John and I have been following the girls around cleaning up what has felt like 50 gallons of pee. Last night I dreamed that I was drowning in the toilet ( I guess I'm going crazy) Today is the third day and the girls haven't peed once in the potty, neither have they had a BM. I've come to the conclusion that John and I are being trained, not the kids. They are so dang close thought! Maybe I will deal with pull ups and try the method again when both kids take more of an interest, or perhaps I will keep them in diapers until they are 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah Whatever
So I went to take a picture of my sweet little girls and they just kinda looked at me like "yeah, whatever mom." Adrianna has the death stare down, and I think Ashlyn actually found gold!

Mike's Birthday Wish

I know I am not supposed to post on Kellie's blog, but this is pretty good. My brother Mike has decided that he is going to sell his birthday wish. He figures his wishes have come true so he should use his birthday this weekend to bless someone else. He is selling it on ebay and whoever wins is will send him an email saying what the wish and he will wish it while blowing out the candles. Click here to see it.

Silly Girls
I just love the way these two play together so well. They are always giving each other hugs and kisses. It always makes me smile when I hear Ashlyn say " Aww Nanna come and give me a hug."

Cinco de Mayo
Ok so someone asked me why people celebrate Cinco De Mayo, this pretty much sums it up:
"Cinco de Mayo celebrates the victory, on May 5, 1862, of an ill-equipped Mexican army fending off a large invading French force at the Battle of Puebla. It's a day of national pride in Mexico, but not celebrated with nearly the fervor as Mexican Independence Day on Sept. 15. In the United States, Cinco de Mayo has become a holiday to celebrate all things Mexican, and Latino heritage more broadly."
