This weekend I will be headed to Salt Lake for a Handwriting Without Tears workshop. This program is seriously amazing. Our clinic will be implementing this program. For more info click HERE.

Progression
Last evening we had our first parent meeting at Ashlyn's new school. I learned about the HARBOR METHOD which is awesome. I must admit, I was a little apprehensive if Ashlyn would mesh well with The Academy but my worries have disappeared. This school is highly structured, which I believe will contribute immensely to Ashlyn's Kindergarten success.
This semester Ashlyn's school (Cre-Act) has worked extra hard to entertain the community with their production of The Elves and The Shoemaker. My little girl played a broom, sweeping the floor while the mischievous little elves make shoes.
I might be a little biased but isn't she just the cutest little boom that ever graced the stage!!!

Ivory and Black
When I was young child I developed a passion for the piano, it grew until I reached the lovely era of adolescents. At the age of 17 I made the decision to quit, despite my parent advising against it. I just had to be intensely involved in every aspect of my social life (aka boys). Also I wanted to dance, which is another passion that will always reside in my heart! However the day has come when I can honestly say, you were right mom.
I miss piano. I miss the touch of the keys underneath my fingers. I miss the free release.
Tuning the piano. Can't wait to be reunited old friend!
