Today was Ashlyn's first day back to Pre-School, which she was so extremely excited about! This year she has upgraded to four days a week instead of the two days a week she was attending last school year. She is such a big girl!

The Fair
Yes it's our favorite time of year again, Fair Time! This year our children were old enough to enjoy the carnival rides and food, which made me so happy. Something about watching your kids giggle and smile uncontrollably, it's like instant Prozac. I was just as excited as my girls to go on all the rides. The Forsey's came along and Poison played, which reminded Steve and John of guitar hero of course.
Yum Yum Fair Food, something we dream about all year!
An all time favorite, the carousel.
This little helicopter ride was Adrianna's favorite. yep that's me in the window.

Flash Back Friday

I came across these photos the other day and this particular visit to Idaho remains vivid in my memory. This was in July of 1999, back in the day when my mom use to get a perm and of course my dad looks exactly the same, Aaron still has that cheesy photo grin and me well I was a wild and hormonal 17 year old. This particular day we celebrated my grandfather's 74th birthday. Our family was all gathered, laughing and making memories. Visits to Idaho were always a great time to re-connect with out loved ones. Little to our knowledge my Grandmother, Trillis June Pierce, would be taken from this life seven months later. It made me realize just how precious our time with our family is. I still think of my grandmother often and find her presence in all the small and simple things ( wonderful things) this worlds has to offer. I reflect back on her strength in raising 7 amazing children, all who love the Lord. I know her influence is still present in all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She has left behind a great legacy and will always be in my heart. I look forward to the day when we she will take me in her arms again and say "Hello my little Kellie Pie."

I Apologize
I just want to apologize in advance for lack of blog posts. School has officially started this week! This semester I am taking on fourteen credits, which I am excited and nervous about! Ashlyn is starting to attend pre-school four days a week this year and poor Adrianna doesn't have much to do. John is taking twelve credits at ISU and six credits through Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Sciences. This is his last semester of mortuary college (Hallelujah)!! He will be spending a week in Pittsburgh during the month of November to take his final exams. Needless to say he is one busy guy. During the month of December he will be taking the state board exam and then he will finally be a 100% certified Funeral Director. I am thankful for all my wonderful friends and family members who help us out with babysitting. Also thanks for helping me relieve steam when I need a break from my studies! You are all so wonderful in helping John and I accomplish our goals!
