Payback

The other day I took this little one (yes she seems sweet and innocent) to run errands with me. While waiting at the Social Security office (yes we were there for an hour and a half), she starting bawling and screaming "I WANT TO GO EAT CHICKEN NUGGETS AND FRENCH FRIES AND LEMONADE WITH MY GRANDMA, NOW!" Nothing I did seemed to console her. I tried everything in my bag of mommy tricks, but she just wasn't having it! The last two minutes we were there she picked up a book and with an oh so sweet voice said "Mommy, I am going to be nice now ok." A group of sweet old ladies meanwhile had been watching this whole ordeal and chuckling amongst themselves. As one passed me on her way out she stopped and said, "Your mother must be laughing it up, seem like your little one is a little miss independent."

Hmmm... Can't wait tell the teen years!

For My Valentine...

Once upon a time in a far off land (Rexburg, Idaho) a young prince decided to show face at a singles church dance (so cliche I know). Little did he know that the most beautiful princess in all the land would be making an appearance (yes that would be me). As soon as she entered the room her eyes meet those of the prince and she knew she absolutely must ask this 6'4 green eyed babe to dance! The prince said yes and swept the princess off her feet! After dancing the night away the prince asked for the lovely princess's royal digits and the rest is history!
Happy Valentines Day my love...
Thank you for giving me my "happily ever after."

Seriously Mattel

I seriously think Mattel has run out of ideas! This Christmas Ashlyn received this Barbie and her pooping dog! YES, her pooping dog. It took me a minute to figure it out but see those pellets, yeah your suppose to feed the dog and then push on it's tail and VIOLA, you've got doggie turds! Now, of course Barbie is ever so responsible with her pooper scooper and trash can, isn't this what every little girl dreams of?

For more pooping dog fun!

P.S. I'm pretty sure I've vacuumed up all the "dog turds" by now!

Home Depot

Today I had the opportunity to accompany Ashlyn's pre-school class to the Home Depot. We had a lot of fun and Ashlyn loves her new Home depot apron. Daddy is so proud! We made a flag pole holder!

This little boy in Ashlyn's class has a little crush on her. Here he was telling her good job and she turned around to tell him he was not allowed to talk to her (lovely I know)!

The apron was a little to big but we made it work. I didn't know how much fun the Home Depot was, way to go for entertaining my child. After the project we walked around to look at stuff. Ashlyn saw the toilet and ever so loudly exclaimed "Mommy I know how to pee in the potty!" Gotta love kids, they're always making me smile!
