A Blast From The Past

So I got this idea for a blog post from a friend, flashback Fridays. Technically today is not Friday but I plan on posting a flashback photo every Friday anyhow. This picture was taken six years ago a few weeks after John and I met ( second weekend in July of 2002). We decided for a date to enjoy an evening stroll through Tauphus park and of course we had to take some goofy pictures. This one isn't all that goofy but it reminds me oh so much of the summer we met. John of course is doing his best "rock" impersonation and me, well I thought we were suppose to smile big. Anyways I know it's corny but I have such great memories of the summer of 2002. In August I headed back to Colorado for fall semester. Four months without each other was extremely difficult! A week after this photo John and decided we were meant to be and the "L" word was used... Ah the memories!

An Update

Logan is making an awesome recovery. Prayers are working so keep them coming!Things will be tough for the next little while as he needs at least six weeks of around the clock attention and care. I am so grateful that our little buddy Logan is ok and that he will be home with his parents soon. We love you Stimpsons and are here for you always.

Please Pray

Last night my friend's (and neighbor) little boy Logan fell 10 feet out of his bedroom window. He fell headfirst on the concrete patio. He was life flighted last night to Children's Primary Care Hospital in Utah due to internal bleeding in the brain. Please keep him in your prayers!

Fourth of July Fun

This Fourth of July we spent with our family and friends in Idaho Falls. Every year we attend the parade. Here are the girls lounging out waiting for the parade to start.

Our family anxiously awaiting the Melaleuca fireworks. We absolutely love going down to the river and watching the " the best fireworks west of the Mississippi." We had an amazing time!

Adrianna and Ashlyn staying hydrated.
Adrianna showing her patriotic spirit
The girls loving their glow sticks

This picture isn't great but I wanted to capture some fireworks. The fireworks are lit from a little island on the snake river.

Adrianna watching fireworks with grandma. She watched half the show with this glow stick around her head.

Overall we had a great fourth. John made his famous blue cheeseburgers, which were yummy! Our friends from Pocatello came and we had a fierce game of hand and foot. Thanks to my in-laws for having us. And of course we all got a great nap in!

Happy Birthday Uncle Jay

John's Uncle Jay and Aunt Wynn are some of the sweetest people we know. They always welcome us into their home with open arms and have such a wonderful countenance. This past weekend we made the trek to Draper, Utah to celebrated Jay's 75th Birthday.

Adrianna and her cousin Claire. For some reason Adrianna became attached to these tigger sunglasses and refused to take them off.

Ashlyn having fun at the park

John's cousins Daren and Aereta were able to come from Arizona. It was nice to see them and catch up. These beautiful kids are theirs. Page, Adrianna (in her tigger glasses of course), Mitchell, and Claire. Page and Claire were awesome little babysitters. Thanks girls!

Ashlyn staying hydrated in the summer heat. It always amazes me that no
matter how hot or cold my kids keep playing away. They don't care either way.

Auntie Laura excited over her Idaho shaped piece of watermelon!

After a long day full of fun, good food, good company and a little trip to Ikea the girls crashed. Auntie Laura came back from Utah with us and is staying for a couple days. The kids love their "Waura."

We had such a wonderful weekend visiting with family. I really love John's family and am glad that they have welcomed me as part of their own. Thanks you everyone for the great weekend!

Fun In The Sun

The kids and I decided Friday that it would be fun to go swimming at the Ross Park Aquatic Center. Our good buddies the Forseys and Browns tagged along which made for a fun filled afternoon. Ashlyn had fun guiding her little sister around and hanging with her friends. Adrianna was a little shocked by the freezing water but she eventually got over it. Lydia looked so dang adorable in her little sun hat and Jessi, Mandy and I had fun soaking up some rays ( some of us got a little red). Good times were had by all. Thanks guys for a fun day!
