Sunshine

The sun decided to shine today, it's about time IDAHO! We spent the day hiking and park playing.

Nanna schooling poppa on "freeze tag"

Top of Red Hill, look at those poses!

To top it off we went for some arcade games and black light mini golf. Today was a good day!

Like No One's Watching

Once upon a time I danced......

I danced because I couldn't imagine a life without it. I danced to be free. Eventually life happened. A job, husband, two kids and schooling. I let go for a little bit, but as the saying goes dance stays with you forever. Imagine my excitement when I discovered a new local adult dance company. After meeting with the director, I've decided to give it a go. Currently they are mid season but auditions are in the fall. Trying to get over my hang ups, trying to get in dance shape again. Alas, I will dance again!!

Sunshine, Oh Sunshine!

This Idaho winter weather is giving me the blues. I am just itching for it to be summer. I long for the sunshine on my face, the golden brown tan and of course lazy lounging on the front porch. A few things I have to look forward to this summer....

-Portland
-Colorado
-The kids soccer games
-John teaching me golf
-Boating
- Hikes up Trail Creek

Until then I will have my nose in a book. What do you do to fend off the winter blues?

Happy Birthday Baby Girl

My youngest turned 5 recently and we simply had to have a very Tangled birthday! My little princess had all of her friends and family around to help celebrate. My talented cousin is a magician and came from Utah to put on a special show for the birthday girl. Her magic word for the show was "Abratatabra." The children (and adults) had a blast. Thank you all to those who helped us celebrate. We are blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives.

On that note, It's always a bittersweet moment when your child turns another year older. Such joy in their growth, and a little bit of sadness that they will never be that chubby cheeked little baby again. Nanna is my little helper and she is definitely a mommy's girl. She has grown so much over this past year, no longer a teeny 4 year old but now a big 5 year old who will start kindergarten this year! In tradition, here are 5 reasons why I love my little girl.

1. She truly cares about everyone.
2. She tells me I am the bestest mom on a daily basis, even when I don't deserve that title.
3. She tells the funniest and most creative stories I've ever heard
4. She loves to dance with me and suggests that we have dance parties every day
5. She always gives me a kiss and a hug before she goes to bed

Happy Year

I'm not big on making New Years resolutions but 2010 brought many changes for me and my family, some great and some not so great. Needless to say I've been looking forward to 2011 as my year of change, self discovery and growth. Wishes to you all for a happy and lovely 2011!

The Box Family

What happens when two fast food icons marry..........

Jack n Wendy with their newest addition

Jack was the hit of Pocatello and even appeared on the 5:00 news. The Mario brothers also made a guest appearance.

LUIGI!

MARIO!

This Halloween was a blast! I was surprised that the girls picked these outfits but they were a huge hit. So many people told them how much they liked when little girls dressed up like Mario and Luigi. They loved all the attention and of course the two days of what I call the "candy bonanza." Both girls had halloween parties at school, in which they brought home a bag of candy each. Later in the day we went to downtown trick or treating. Saturday we hit up a local RV sponsored trick or treat and finish up the day with trunk or treat. We are set for the next two years in the sugar department!

Six

My baby recently turned 6. Sometimes I just can't believe how big she is, how independent she has become. Her creative little mind is constantly flowing with ideas that astound me. She has overcome so much and is still overcoming. We love her so much, and in birthday tradition, here are 6 reasons why.

1. She is always willing to help
2. She often tells me why she loves me and thinks I'm beautiful
3. She loves to dance with me
4. Her unique thoughts always make me smile, especially after a long day
5. She is always writing/drawing me special notes
6. She gives her hugs freely

Happy Birthday Ashlyn!

Kindergarten Baby

Our little girl started Kindergarten. She was more than excited for her first day. John and I choked up a bit at the fact of how independent she truly has become. We are so proud of her. My heart wrenched a little when Adrianna said to Ashlyn "Bye sissy, come here and give me a hug and a squish. I'll miss you." We are all excited to see her start such a big milestone!

McCall

McCall is one of the most beautiful places in Idaho. Our family had a free weekend so we decided to head up to this gorgeous mountain town. A few highlights of the trip......

Mt. Biking through Ponderosa State Park

Boating on Payette River

Soaking in Gold Fork Hot Springs

Shopping in quaint downtown

The Fish Hatchery
