The Beach

My dad walking down the beach at Mission Bay

This picture was taken from the terrace of our hotel room.
Adrianna was playing hide and go seek with "poppa."

Our little sand castle

Adrianna and Ashlyn loved the sand! They didn't want to leave!

The water was freezing but the girls went right in without any hesitation!
It was so fun to watch my babies excitement as they saw the beach for the first time.

My Dad was so good with the girls, I think he had just as much fun playing in the sand as Ashlyn and Adrianna John and Aaron trying their hand at kayaking
No beach trip would be complete without burying someone in the sand!

John served an LDS mission in the Los Angeles, San Fernando California area. IN-N-OUT burger was a staple of his for two years. He was excited to introduce us all to these delicious hamburgers and fries. I'm still full!

This my friends is called a 4x4. Four hamburger patties cooked "animal style." Pretty much they will cook any number of hamburger patties and put it on a bun. John once held a brief record of 24 patties (correct me if I'm wrong honey).

Ashlyn was so tired she fell asleep while crawling up to bed. The kids played hard and slept even harder while we were on vacation. We all got some great tans and had a blast! Now we are home and trying to extend this week as much as possible for school starts on the 25th. Where did the summer go? I wish it would last! After visiting California I have decided that moving somewhere by the beach wouldn't be half bad, plus 75 degree weather year round would be nice. Maybe I'll become a dolphin trainer at Sea World or perhaps maybe drive the tour bus around the San Diego Zoo!
