Jammin

Recently I was invited to a friends house to "Jam." I forgot how much I love to play music and sing....yes I said sing. I am rediscovering my voice and it's fun! Next new venture...learn to play the ukulele John recently acquired.

On a side note, our camera is back and better than ever. Looking forward to taking lots of photos again!

Sunshine, Oh Sunshine!

This Idaho winter weather is giving me the blues. I am just itching for it to be summer. I long for the sunshine on my face, the golden brown tan and of course lazy lounging on the front porch. A few things I have to look forward to this summer....

-Portland
-Colorado
-The kids soccer games
-John teaching me golf
-Boating
- Hikes up Trail Creek

Until then I will have my nose in a book. What do you do to fend off the winter blues?

Happy Birthday Baby Girl

My youngest turned 5 recently and we simply had to have a very Tangled birthday! My little princess had all of her friends and family around to help celebrate. My talented cousin is a magician and came from Utah to put on a special show for the birthday girl. Her magic word for the show was "Abratatabra." The children (and adults) had a blast. Thank you all to those who helped us celebrate. We are blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives.

On that note, It's always a bittersweet moment when your child turns another year older. Such joy in their growth, and a little bit of sadness that they will never be that chubby cheeked little baby again. Nanna is my little helper and she is definitely a mommy's girl. She has grown so much over this past year, no longer a teeny 4 year old but now a big 5 year old who will start kindergarten this year! In tradition, here are 5 reasons why I love my little girl.

1. She truly cares about everyone.
2. She tells me I am the bestest mom on a daily basis, even when I don't deserve that title.
3. She tells the funniest and most creative stories I've ever heard
4. She loves to dance with me and suggests that we have dance parties every day
5. She always gives me a kiss and a hug before she goes to bed

Happy Year

I'm not big on making New Years resolutions but 2010 brought many changes for me and my family, some great and some not so great. Needless to say I've been looking forward to 2011 as my year of change, self discovery and growth. Wishes to you all for a happy and lovely 2011!

The Box Family

What happens when two fast food icons marry..........

Jack n Wendy with their newest addition

Jack was the hit of Pocatello and even appeared on the 5:00 news. The Mario brothers also made a guest appearance.

LUIGI!

MARIO!

This Halloween was a blast! I was surprised that the girls picked these outfits but they were a huge hit. So many people told them how much they liked when little girls dressed up like Mario and Luigi. They loved all the attention and of course the two days of what I call the "candy bonanza." Both girls had halloween parties at school, in which they brought home a bag of candy each. Later in the day we went to downtown trick or treating. Saturday we hit up a local RV sponsored trick or treat and finish up the day with trunk or treat. We are set for the next two years in the sugar department!
