One Down, One to Go!

This past week my honey was in Pittsburgh taking his comprehensive exam for mortuary college (He took classes through the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science for two years). The exam consisted of 15 sections and one embalming. He passed of course and we are all so proud of him! John is officially done with mortuary college Yippie! He still has to take a state board exam to become licensed in the state of Idaho, but no more classes. This week John is busy making up for the week he missed here at ISU (He is also attending Idaho State University, majoring in Economics). John and I will both be graduating from ISU around the same time and we are both anxiously awaiting that day! Congrats John, You truly have a special gift for helping those in their times of grief. Love You!

Dreams

This morning Ashlyn initiated a conversation with me that was to cute not to share..

Ashlyn: Mommy I had dreams last night
Me: Oh wow, who was in your dream?
Ashlyn: Daddy and he was singing songs to me and it made me happy.

Halloween Festivities

This past weekend some friends of ours put on a Halloween party specifically for all of our kids. It was so much fun to get together and watch our children have fun in their costumes. Thank you Mandy for initiating and pulling it all together. The girls had a blast.

Ashlyn loves babies, she was intrigued by this little girl. She referred to her as mariposa baby for the rest of the evening.

Ariel and Minnie Mouse had tons of fun, they are still asking if they can go back to the Halloween party!

Little Miss Attitude

As I was looking through family photos the other day I found that oh so many of our Ashlyn pics look like these. Poor girls, she absolutely hate change and has a hard time adjusting. We have progressed from all out tantrums (kicking, screaming, and wiggling all around the floor) to a grumpy face and a " no, stop it, I don't want to, leave Ashlyn alone, I mean it." I can't help but chuckle a little when she pulls a grumpy face, it is just to dang cute!

Two minutes after taking this picture Adrianna stole the purple Barbie computer (as pictured in Ashlyn's hand) from Ashlyn and then proceeded to hit her big sissy in the head with it!

Ashlyn's Birthday Party

This past weekend we celebrated Ashlyn's 4th birthday with a super cool Little Mermaid party. The girls are in Princess heaven with all the fun stuff Ashlyn received for her birthday. My friend Elsha took these wonderful pictures. I love how she captured every detail of the party! We had a great time with our friends and family, thank you for all the great gifts and birthday wishes. On a side note, John did make the cake and it was delicious!!! Also if you have a Disney princess (or any Disney character) fan at home check this out. Ariel called Ashlyn today to wish her a Happy Birthday, her response was so cute, she loved it!
